What is Rotational Molding?
Rotational molding, also known as roto molding, rotational moulding and rotary molding, is a plastics molding technology which is ideal for making hollow products.. The method is that the plastic raw material is first added into the mold, and then the mold rotates continuously along two vertical axes and heats it. The plastic raw material in the mold is gradually and evenly heated, melted and adhered to the whole surface of the mold cavity under the action of gravity and heat energy, formed into the required shape, and then cooled and shaped into a product.
Rotational moulding is a versatile process and is popular in a various range of industries , such as table tennis, dolls, traffic isolation pier, incubator, models, landscape plants, slide, car shell, boats, water tanks, storage tanks, etc.
Plastic parts that formed by rotational molding process has the uniform wall thickness and high intensive strength, featuring a seamless structure. This distinctive features is not found in other thermoforming process
