The customer reached out to Light Venus with an existing product that they were having manufacturing challenges with. It is water rescue robot remote control lifebuoy, a device integrated with submarine propulsion technology and wireless control technology.

This product had several key requirements. The material is lightweight to carry anywhere,  and long lasting built for anti ultra violet rays, anti sea water corrosion. In order to prevent the robot  from stopping operation in the rescue work, the construction is airtight and waterproof to protect the sensitive electronic components inside.

Engineering team at Light Venus provided solutions by the application of rotomolding.  The material used is  light weight High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) featuring excellent chemical resistance and good processability. Crafted from the rotational molding process, products come out in a single seamless piece, with no stress points or joins between them. They are also highly durable by adding specific additives to the resin for the moisture protection, anti corrosion, anti ultra violet rays.
